The meeting was chaired by the Chairman, Prof. J. B. Ekanayake. The Chair welcomed everyone to the special general meeting. Then, the following matters were discussed. 1. Increasing the term of the office bearers from one to two years 2. Changing the post of “Vice Chair” to “Chair Elect” 3. Recognizing an IEEE PES member for the “Outstanding Engineer Award” 4. Recent events organized by the IEEE PES SL section 5. Developing the website of IEEE PES SL Chapter
