Description

An Electronic Design Competition for Undergraduate Students in Sri Lanka was organized by IEEE Sri Lanka Section for the second consecutive year an held successfully on 22nd November 2014. It was conducted simultaneously at three locations, University of Peradeniya, University of Ruhuna, and Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. Thirty one groups (3 students per group) participated in this event from five universities. This was a one whole day event where an electronic design problem was given to the students at 8:30Am and the students had to complete the design by 4:30pm. Judging was done after that with three panels of judges comprising of experts from the academia and industry. The winners of the competition will be awarded prizes as well as certificates at the Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section. Orel Corporation Pvt. Ltd. provided the sponsorship for this event.
