Adhikari reported. The chairman welcomed the gathering. Confirmation of minutes. Minutes of the previous meeting was presented by Mr. A.M.T.B. Adhikari. Dr. Buddika Jayasekara proposed that the minutes are in order and Mr. Viraj Muthugala seconded. Matters arising from minutes Mr. A.M.T.B. Adhikari gave an update about the Third Sri Lanka Robotics Meetup which has been held on 09 th of March 2017, 05:30 pm at the VirtusaPolaris auditorium and also he gave an update about the two individual TV interviews conducted by the Dialog LearnTV with the two Japanese professors prior to the event. Annual Activity Plan Activity plan for 2017 was decided as follows. Fourth Sri Lanka Robotics Meetup - September 2017 Wearable Technology Competition (Sponsored by Hela Clothing) MERCon Conference and Workshops Fourth Robotics Meetup It was decided to invite Prof. Chandimal Jayawardena (Professor, Dept. of Information Systems Engineering, Faculty of Computing, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology) and Mr. Indika Kulatunga (General Manager, Innovation Orange Electric) to deliver the presentations. Dr. Buddika Jayasekara agreed to be a panelist and it was decided to invite a Virtusan to moderate the panel discussion. Dr. Sanath Jayawardana suggested to share the guidelines, terms and conditions with all the resource persons to avoid having any promotional materials in the presentations. Wearable Technology Competition (Sponsored by Hela Clothing) It was decided to invite IEEE Sri Lanka section to organize this event as a joint competition organized by IEEE Sri Lanka Section and IEEE RAS Sri Lanka Section Chapter. It was decided to propose to keep the further development rights with the competitors and the sponsors. Dr. Sanath Jayawardana agreed to discuss about this with the IEEE Sri Lanka Section ExCom. 10. Any other matters Dr. Buddika Jayasekara raised an issue that the RAS is not listed in the IEEE Conference Tool and it was decided to raise it to IEEE operations team.
