FlyEEE 1.0 is a drone workshop which was organized by IEEE student branch of University of Moratuwa. This event was conducted mainly focusing University of Moratuwa undergraduates. FlyEEE 1.0 had two sessions, Introduction and a motivation for beginners to build drones. Applications of drones - Aruna Jayasena (Undergraduate of Computer Science and Engineering at University of Moratuwa, who is a final four contestant of “ Kotiyak watina Adahasak” competition on Sirasa TV. ) Basic tips to choose components for building a drone -Akila Uyanwatte (Undergraduate of Electronic and telecommunication engineering at University of Moratuwa) Technical facts that should be considered when building a drone - Iresh Jayawardena (Undergraduate of Electronic and telecommunication Engineering at University of Moratuwa) Mathematical modeling of drones Mathematical model of a drone - Engineer Janith kalpa ( Instructor at Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering UoM) Sensor fusion - Tharindu Suraj (Final year undergraduate at Electronic and telecommunication Engineering UoM) Conclusion F lyEEE 1.0 drone workshop held successfully with the help of over 150 participants. Main objectives of FlyEEE 1.0 were to motivate undergraduates in the field of drones and to make them aware. There were many comments like conducting the event as an open event for the participants outside the University of Moratuwa, and also to organize a competition after few sessions.
