LETs talk session in SL SYW Congress 2018 was held on 29th of December, 2018 from 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in Sri Lanka Technological Campus (SLTC), Padukka, Sri Lanka. The session was driven with three inspiring speeches by well recognized professionals in the industry. Mr. Surangith Godagama, a recognized human talent builder commenced the session on topic; Personal Financial Planning covering all the aspects of financial freedom. Following the session was Dr. Narendra De Silva, Head of Engineering is Lanka Electrical Company (L.E.Co), who made an informative speech on Power Equity, it’s issues in the country and solutions that can be taken to overcome such issues. LETs talk session concluded on topic “Are you graduated?” focusing on the importance of communication as a professional in the industry. At the end of each speech, speaker created an open discussion with the audience as well. Marketing and promotional plan of the event, LETs talk was simple yet executed to attract more undergraduates. This was mostly done towards social media. Team managed to maintain a facebook page ( link: https://www.facebook.com/IEEESL.SYWCongress/ ) throughout the year beginning from April, 2018. Moreover a separate website ( link: https://sywc.ieee.lk/ ) was created for the event which attracted most of the professionals in the industry as well as enthusiastic undergraduates. The event was digitized through an event management mobile application “Echowave” thus creating the network among participants of the event. The application was used to share the information on speakers and text messages were sent through the application updating on every aspect of the event. Furthermore the event was telecasted in Sirasa TV news managed by a well reputed information provider, Capital Maharaja Ltd.
