NB IoT- Bridging the Gap in NB IoT industry Sri Lanka - LETs Talk Event The event which was originally scheduled on 26th February 2019 will be rescheduled to 6th March 2019 due to the unavailability of the speaker. Nuwini indicated that the Women’s Day celebrations during the first week of March will affect the participation of the event. No other objections were raised regarding the new date. Rajitha will email Dr. Shamil to inform about the rescheduled date. Nuwini and Chanaka will contact student branches to promote the event. Chandana requested the members working in the industry to promote the event within their companies. Following members were assigned to organizing roles of the event. Warunika - Registrations Migara - Refreshments Rajitha - Token of appreciation 2. Bank account transfer to new signatories Rajitha will finalize the AGM minutes by 19th February 2019. Committee agreed to transfer the account to new signatories before 23rd February 2019. Committee decided to have a single online banking account. Hence it was decided to continue online banking facility, giving the access to treasurer. No objections were raised on continuing online banking facility. 3. Finalizing the volunteer pool Chandana indicated that the volunteer applications must be screened before finalizing the volunteer pool. He further raised the concern of choosing non-final year undergraduates into the volunteer pool. Chandana agreed to finalize the volunteer pool. 4. Fundraiser event Chandana briefed the committee about the fundraiser event and its progress from the last year. He requested the committee to identify potential sponsors for the event. 5. Other matters Nuwini - Initiating a YP newsletter would be useful in securing sponsorships for future YP events. Nuwini - Create a vehicle badge for IEEE Young Professionals. Chandana requested Nuwini to create a post to publish the new committee on Facebook. Chandana requested Akila to get the content required for the website from Peshan. Chandana requested the committee to bring new ideas to improve YP and local benefits for IEEE members, during the next general meeting. Rajitha will create a doodle poll to decide the next meeting date and he will reserve SLIIT Metropolitan Campus Boardroom for the next general meeting.
