In order to make awareness among the first year students about the IEEE, WIE, and its goals & objectives, we conducted a joint awareness program, conducted by the members of the societies. A brief history of IEEE global, IEEE Sri Lanka and the IEEE Student Branch of UCSC were given to the students. Students were then briefed about the annual events, upcoming events and about how to actively participate in organizing these events.
