An Awareness day session was conducted for the new batches of Sri Lanka Technological Campus was organized on the 19 th of June, 2019. The event began at 4:00 PM and ended around 6:00 PM, with the presence more than 60 Undergraduates. The event was held with the objective of enlightening the new batches about What IEEE is all about and the numerous benefits that could be gained through IEEE so that new members could be attracted to the student branch. A registration booth was setup to enable Students to register into IEEE. Two guest speakers; Miss Tharushi Natasha, IEEE Student Section Representative and Mr. Chanaka Hettige, IEEE Sri Lanka Section Student Activities Committee Chair were invited as guest speakers. The event was a considerable success, given that a handful of new undergraduates joined the Student Branch as new members.
