The Build-a-Robot Robotics Workshop for School Students, organized by the IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa, was held at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, from 09.30am to 03.00pm on the 13th of October 2018, as the first event of "Build-a-Robot 2018". The workshop was conducted by Fourth-year undergraduates of the Engineering faculty and both the students (between 15-18 years of age) and accompanied teachers from selected Schools of Sri-Lanka were provided the knowledge and hands-on experience required to build a simple robot. Thought the workshop's main intention was to develop enthusiasm in girls from a young age, the opportunity was also provided to a few Boy Schools. The workshop concluded with Students empowered with knowledge and driven with passion.
