WIE SL Section – ExCom Meeting 03 27 th February, 2019 from 2130h – 2230h Venue: Online Meeting was initiated by the Chair Dr. Windhya Rankothge Participants: Dr. Windhya, Dr. Maheshi , Dr. Rasara, Dulma, Heshani, Dilrukshi, Warunika, Shashika, Akila, Abharna Chair, Dr. Windhya initiated the meeting and the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progress of the planned events. As the first event of the section, it was decided to conduct the ‘Social Gathering Event’, which would provide an opportunity for the members to interact with each other and WIE section to attract more volunteers for WIE. Committee discussed the progress of the ongoing planning work and Shashika shared the prepared flyers for the event. Further, treasurer, Dulma requested the Chair and Secretary to send the signature cards of the bank and the AGM minutes to initiate the signature transferring process of the bank account. Dilrukshi pointed out that, a student branch officer training program will be conducted by the IEEE Sri Lanka Section and WIE Student Branches too will be invited to that. Therefore, the committee decided that repeating a similar event by WIE section is unnecessary and decided to remove that from the year plan. Meeting was adjourned at 2230h.
