WIE Track of IEEE SYW Congress'19 of Sri Lanka Section 22 nd December, 2019 – 1100h – 1230h Venue: Wayamba University of Sri Lanka – Kuliyapitiya Campus WIE Sri Lanka Section Organized the WIE Track of IEEE SYW Congress'19 of Sri Lanka Section. The track consisted of two events, a keynote speech and a pitching competition for student branches. Keynote 30 mins interactive session was conducted by the invited speaker, Ms. Rasini Bandara, who is a Psychologist, Lecturer, Public speaking and personality development coach. Pitching Competition WIE student branches in Sri Lanka were invited to pitch a proposal of an event planned for the next year, within 5-7 min time. Three cash prices were given, two prices (10,000 LKR each) based on the judges’ evaluation and one price (5000 LKR) based on the on-site votes of the audience. University of Peradeniya and SLIIT won the prices based on the judges’ evaluation and IIT won the price for most popular event. Winning student branches were requested to submit the event report.
