The meeting was chaired by the Chairman, Dr. Asanka Rodrigo. The Chair welcomed everyone to the third EXCOM meeting and announced the agenda. The following matters were discussed: Future activities It was decided to organize a field visit for Muthurajawela waste to energy power plant for PES Membership in early November 2019 as the next activity Update on R10 Chapter Chair meeting Ms Akila informed the visa process and other arrangements for R10 chapter chair meeting is completed and will be leaving on 29 th November 2019. Update on nomination call for PES Outstanding Engineer Award: Dr Asanka requested the Secretary to again circulate the email to PES membership asking for nominations for both PES Outstanding Engineer and Young Engineer Award. Activates for Membership Growth: It was reported that University of Jaffna and SLIIT PES student branch chapters are coordinated for future activities. It was decided to organize awareness sessions in each university of executive committee. Dr Asanka mentioned that University of Sri Jayewardenepura is willing to establish a PES student chapter and the initial process with them will be arranged. Any other matters: Dr Binduhewa requested Ms Akila to add the events sponsored by PES SL chapter at MERCon conference 2019 to vTools. Since there were no other issues to be discussed, the meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
