Dr.Tharaka Samarasinghe chaired the ExCo meeting of IEEE Communications Society Sri Lanka Chapter. The Chair welcomed the ExCo members and the following matters were discussed at the meeting. No. Activity Responsible 1 Dr.Tharaka informed that the Membership development grant has been approved for the society chapter, so that ExCo shall focus on organize membership development activities. Mr.Janitha Rupasena was asked to discuss with dialog to organize a technical talk along with membership awareness session Mr.Janitha Rupasena 2 Treasurer was informed to open a current account for IEEE Communications society- Sri Lanka Chapter at the bank of Ceylon, University of Moratuwa Branch. The Chairman, the secretary and the treasurer shall be the signatories for the account opening. The president and the treasurer or the secretary and the treasurer can authorize the transactions. Dr.Kasun Hemachandra 3 Secretary was informed to possess the requried documents for the account opening.(AGM Minutes, Copy of Constitution, Attendance list and a rubber stamp. Mr.Yasitha Harshanath 4 The chairman informed that the Society Chapter shall look forward to grant technical co-sponsorship or workshop sponsorships for upcoming conferences including ICIIS-2019. Dr.Tharaka Samarasinghe 5 Mr.Heshan Dewaka was informed to work on IEEE ComSoc Student Branch formation at University of Moratuwa as the first ComSoc student branch of Sri Lanka Mr.Heshan Dewaka
