Description

The 5th meetup of the series of meetups for the year 2019/20 organized by the IEEE Sri Lanka section was held on the 5th of December 2019, having SLIIT Metropolitan Campus as the venue partner for the meetup. The topic for the event was "Bioinformatics" and it was held with the participation of more than 65 students. The two guest speakers were Dr. Upeka Premaratne and Dr. Pradeepa Bandaranayake. Dr. Upeka concentrated on the theory behind the subject while Dr. Upeka mentioned the current researches happening in Sri Lanka. It was quite an informative meetup filled with a vast amount of knowledge to be shared.
