Description

The previous session by IEEE IAS SBC of University of Moratuwa on PCB design was successful in familiarizing the engineering undergraduates on how to design a PCB. However, for this knowledge to be more applicable in their work, they also need the knowledge and skills on the basics of printing a PCB. Hence, the IEEE IAS SBC of University of Moratuwa organized a PCB Printing Workshop on 5 th of March 2020. The session was facilitated by Mr. Janith Kalpa Gunaratna System Engineer of UAV Research Lab of University of Moratuwa. The session was more inclined towards real-time hands-on experience as Mr. Janith walked the students through on how to print a PCB while practically implementing it. By the end of the session, the students were well versed on the steps to printing a PCB and were confident to try it on their own. Finally, a discussion was held on the issues of printing a PCB.
