The first-ever webinar of the newly initiated IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter of University of Moratuwa was held with the presence of Prof. Frede Blaabjerg, President of IEEE Power Electronics Society. It began with an introduction about the speaker and his achievements and then the guest speaker was welcomed by Randima Hasanthi, Chairman of IEEE Power Electronics Society SBC of University of Moratuwa. Thereafter the webinar was handed over to Prof. Frede Blaabjerg for his descriptive presentation. He conducted a very informative and a supportive session explaining the path of leadership and his extensive information and clear speech gave the audience a broad insight about the leadership career with IEEE PELS. Next on,the Q&A Session was conducted where the audience was given the chance to clear out their doubts related to IEEE PELS or any other. With the conclusion of a successful sequence of answers, a vote of thanks was delivered by Kasuni Wanninayake, Secretary of the Student Branch Chapter. Thereon the webinar was concluded with an enlightened path towards joining and active working in IEEE PELS.
