'Deep speed', is line following robot competition which was organized by the department of electrical and electronics engineering in cooperation with the IEEE student branch and robotic and automation society of the University of Peradeniya under the supervision of Dr.Janaka Wijekulasuriya. It was successfully held on 14th December 2019 in DO1 in the Faculty of Engineering. This was organized for first-year students as a group project by Dr. Janaka Wijayakulasuriya with some sponsorships to give a chance to develop knowledge about robotics with creative thinking. It was a very competitive event and Nearly 90 teams were participating in the competition .it was really interested to witness that each and every robot were unique and fascinating. Students were there with curiosity to see whether robots will follow the path correctly or not. And also there was a challenge to follow the given path speedily than other lines following robots. Special thanks go to all the sponsors and mentors who made this possible and Prof. Kithsiri Liyanage for an eye-opening talk on Critical Thinking.
