ORATOR' 20 was an online trilingual speech competiion orgainzed by the IEEE IES student branch chapter of SLTC in collaboration with the Media Unit of SLTC. A project comprised of two sections and being exclusive to the students of SLTC, ORATOR' 20 proceeded as follows: 1. The first sections, an online Webinar on the topic "How to be a Good Public Speaker", was held on the 28th of August 2020. The webinar was well-received by a large attendance of eager students. 2. The second half of the project was a trilingual speech competition where participants were required to speak on one of the topics provided in a language of their choice, which were English, Sinhala and Tamil, for a time period of 2-3 minutes. 3.The registration link to the competition was opened to the students from the 7th of September 2020 to the 11th of September 2020. The contestants were judged and nominated as the winners seperately per language category by a respected judge panel. The final results were announced on the 17th of September 2020. 4. The project received highly positive feedback, where the participants expressed their gratitude in hosting such a wonderful event. It has been proposed that the ORATOR speech competition will be open to universities all across Sri Lanka.
