The webinar on ‘Introductory session to NPSS’ was the first event of the newly initiated IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society Student Branch Chapter University of Moratuwa, which was held on 22 nd November 2020 from 9:00 p.m. to 10:10 p.m. The session was commenced with an introduction of the guest speaker and the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society. Then, the guest speaker, Dr. Steve H. Gold, the secretary of the NPSS Plasma Science and Applications Committee was warmly welcomed by Dr. Thushara Damayanthi, the advisor of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society SBC University of Moratuwa. After that, DR. Steve H. Gold was handed over the webinar to conduct his informative presentation about history, objectives, benefits, opportunities, and fields of interest of the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences society. Next, a Q &A session was conducted, which helped audience to clarify their doubts on IEEE NPSS and on their career development. Then, the webinar was concluded giving participants an inspiration to work with IEEE NPSS after delivering the vote of thanks by announcer.
