IEEE Student Branch of the University of Jaffna proud to present "Women in Engineering" to students. The session mainly focused on the opportunities that are available for women in the field of engineering. The speaker focused on the need for women empowerment, and women’s involvement in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). She further stressed the importance of peeling off the belief in the society that engineering is a male-dominated profession. She explained the barriers the women face in society and advocated women’s role in STEM and concluded the session.
