The webinar session was graced by the outstanding speaker, Mr. Haritha Thilakarathne, Graduate Researcher at La Trobe University, and Microsoft MVP (AI). It mainly focussed on the basics of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, its future, and Deep Learning. Furthermore, Mr. Haritha has illustrated his ongoing projects related to the domain of Artificial Intelligence. His insight and experience have been a great boost and motivation to our undergraduates. This is very much evident from the active participation of over 120 audiences. The session has turned into an interactive session because of our excellent speaker and enthusiastic audience. The webinar session was followed by a panel discussion on the current and future trends in Artificial Intelligence. This panel discussion was enlightened by the panellists namely: Mr. N.S. Weerakoon, Head of the Department, Department of Computing, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Mrs. T.MA.U. Gunathilaka, Lecturer at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka, Ms. Ishantha Hewarathne, Lecturer (Probationary) at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and Mr. Wiraj Udara Wickramaarachi, Lecturer (Probationary) at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and moderated by Miss, Ishini Deraniyagala, The Treasurer of the IEEE Student Branch of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka. The event was wrapped up with enormous success in our Student Branch History- has proven from the recognition we have received from the department and our audience.
