The 2020 IEEE PES Global Student Congress was converted to a virtual congress due to the Coronavirus pandemic.The event was held on 1,2, and 8,9 August 2020 on a virtual platform including key notes, breakout sessions, competitions, as well as virtual socials. (Figure 1). Representing Region 10 , IEEE PES Sri Lanka Chapter was selected as the host of the 2020 IEEE PES GSC together with Canada, Brazil and Tunisia PES chapters. The participants from all over the world get engaged with the congress opening a platform for networking and sharing knowledge in power and energy along with ice breaking events The PES volunteers from Sri Lanka got the great opportunity to work with the international volunteers and professionals with the congress. The participants gained a new experience with the events held throughout the congress with a lot of excitement.
