IEEE PES Sri Lanka Chapter: Webinar on "Renewable Energy for Developing Countries"

IEEE PES Sri Lanka Chapter proudly presented the first webinar on “ Renewable Energy for Developing Countries ” as a part of the IEEE PES DAY 2020 on 19 th of April 2020 from 6.00pm to 7.00 pm IST (GMT +5.30) via the online platform ZOOM. It was successfully held with both the international and local audiences of around 70 participants. Mr. Ranishka Wimalasena, who is an Energy Specialist attached to Asian Development Bank (ADB) currently stationed in Fiji at the ADB South Pacific Regional Office covering energy sector work in six pacific island nations conducted the webinar. He shared his experience and insights to lead the participants on an unprecedented journey in the Renewable Energy Field. At the end of the session, Qand A session was moderated by Akila Wijethunge- Secreatary IEEE PES Sri Lanka chapter. Mr.Ranishka gave his ideas to the questions asked by the participants. The information delivered on the topic was helpful for both professionals and students in the power sector. The event was successful with the contribution of fPES day ambassadors.
