Description
The Annual General Meeting of the IEEE NPSS Student Branch Chapter for the term 2020/2021 was successfully held on 18 th of January 2021 via zoom platform with the presence of guest of honour Mr. Malinda Ranaweera the Head of Project Management Unit "To Study the Nuclear Power Option in Sri Lanka", Ministry of Power. The event commenced with an introduction about IEEE NPSS Chapter and the interim Chairman Thisara Madawalage, delivering the welcome note. Then, the Chief Guest Mr. Malinda Ranaweera shared his insightful knowledge and experience on Nuclear Science. After that, the election of the new Executive Committee was conducted by the immediate past Secretary of the IEEE Student Branch, Ms. Randima Hasanthi. The executive committee members for the term 2020/2021 were proposed by the members and as there were no objections received, the office bearers for the new term were announced. Then, the newly appointed Chairman of the Student Branch Chapter addressed the gathering mentioning the plans and visions of the activities for the coming year. The Annual General Meeting was ended after the vote of thanks by the Secretary Ms. Sehani Siriwardana.
