Description

The Excom meeting of IEEE PES Sri Lanka chapter was held on 14/10/2020 at 2.00PM via zoom. The participants of the meeting were Prof. Janaka Ekanayake, Dr Sudheera Nawaratne, Dr Akila Wijethunge, Dr Prabath Binduhewa, Dr Rasara Samarasinghe, Dr Saranga Abyegunawardhana and Mr Anjana Wijesekara. It was idscussed to arrange a webinar on a related topic as the future event. It was also decided to extend the deadline of the remote lab design competition according to an update from Dr Saranga on the submissions. The committee also decided to call for nominations for the outstanding engineer award and outstanding young engineer award from the membership. As a new suggestion Prof Ekanayake suggested to organize a lecture series on power and energy related technical subjects. The meeting was adjourned at 3.30PM.
