Description

The Excom meeting of IEEE PES Sri Lanka chapter was held on 10/06/2020 at 11.00AM via zoom. The participants of the meeting were Dr Asanka Rodrigo, Prof. Janaka Ekanayake, Dr Akila Wijethunge, Dr Prabath Binduhewa, Dr Rasara Samarasinghe, Dr Saranga Abyegunawardhana, Mr Ashan Imantha and Mr Anjana Wijesekara. It was discussed to arrange a webinar on a related topic as the future event. It was also decided to organize a remote lab design competition for the power system applications for undergraduate students. Prof Ekanayake, Dr Saranga. Dr Akila were assigned for this activity. The committee also suggested to consider an event as a virtual tour for a power plant due to the pandemic situation. The committee decided to get an update on the events MERCON 2020 conference with the technical co-sponsorship provided. The meeting was adjourned at 12.00PM.
