Distinguished Lecture (DL) on Wired and Wireless Grid Integration Methods of Electric Vehicles (EVs)
December 6, 2020 · 4:30 AM - 5:30 AM @ Online event
Description
The quest for energy conservation is a thought-provoking conundrum to researchers. As most of the developing countries depend on conventional energy sources, integration of modern vehicles with renewable energy sources justified the cause. An informative DL on Wired and Wireless Grid Integration Methods of Electric Vehicles (EVs) was held with the presence of Prof. Udaya K. Madawala on the 06 th of December 2020. He has more than 30 years of experience in Energy and Power Electronics and also works as a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Auckland. After welcoming the guest speaker, the DL was handed over to Prof. Madawala for his descriptive presentation. It was very informative, presenting trends together with the latest advances in grid integration of EVs and its impact on the power grid and infrastructure, both wired and wireless technologies employed for grid integration of EV discussing safety, standards, magnetics, power levels, efficiency and cost etc. Next on, the Q&A session was conducted in order to provide the audience with a massive opportunity to clear out their doubts in grid integration methods of EVs. Soon after the Q&A session, a kahoot was held which was so exciting to the participants and finally a valuable Amazon Gift Card was awarded to the winner. The DL was concluded with a huge success resulting a sound presentation to its participants leading to a delighted awareness in wired and wireless grid integration methods of electric vehicles.
