Description
End Game is the first ever virtual treasure hunt organized by IEEE student branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University to initiate the idea to take a break from everyday work to relax and enjoy. Due to the pandemic situation we couldn’t have any entertainment activity to communicate or to build a network through the faculty. So, we needed something interesting to keep all connected and excited virtually. End Game: the treasure hunt paved the path for all those concerns. End Game: Virtual Treasure Hunt was organized based on 6 games that could take our minds off from today's work schedules to have some fun with our colleagues. Main reason for selecting this theme was because of the fandom it has and who doesn't love a mysterious virtual hunt. First, we received the registrations to the event via a form and opened the registrations on 19th December 2020. After receiving 90+ responses we officially closed the registrations. We put registrants in to separate teams along with 2 mentors to guide all the team members to the treasures that mentors cannot possess. Build 10 teams and directed them into 6 games starting from 9a.m. on 23rd December 2020. Introduction to the game along with rules and regulations were announced that day morning via zoom and then we started the games. Games were named after the 6 infinity stones we found in Avengers movies. They were time stone, reality stone, mind stone, power stone and soul stone. And 6 games were assigned to each stone. And the teams were named after fictional characters we meet in the avenger's movies. And they were Groot, Gamora, Falcon, Spiderman, Winter Soldier, Loki, Scarlet Witch, Panthers, Star lord, War Machine. At the end of 6 games, we arranged an Open Mic for all the participants to enjoy and show their musical talents. Starting from announcing and displaying the results of 6 games and how each team has done each level gave a relaxation and time to refresh from the thrilling 6 games they had to move past in the morning session. Finally, we announced the winners and prizes for the winners were sponsored by Edvicon International Sri Lanka.
