The second Quarter Review Meeting of IEEE Power Electronics Society Student Branch Chapter of University of Moratuwa was held on the 2nd of December 2020. As scheduled, the meeting was commenced with the participation of all the Executive Committee Members through the Zoom platform. The meeting was mainly targeted to reach the community with the incoming events during the COVID- 19 pandemic. As the committee members recognized the need for interesting webinars rather than typical online lectures, the committee decided to advance the depth of creativity and touch of trending knowledge in the present-day context. A Distinguished Lecture on Wired and Wireless Grid Integration Methods of Electric Vehicles by Prof. Udaya K. Madawala was planned to conduct on the 6 th of December to meet the need of knowledge for the world regarding the trend of Electric Vehicles (EVs). The promotion campaign was planned with a trending video and flyer contents. Also, a Tech Talk on Residential Microgrids was discussed to be held by the beginning of the New Year 2021 and pre-planning was done for the flow of work. The imperative need of sustainable energy was targeted to be highlighted in the event. Views were exchanged regarding the free usage of Zoom platform for the convenience of the participants and the errors of the previous events were reviewed and the mitigatory methods were taken into consideration. After a fruitful discussion of free thoughts, the meeting was ended with a planned schedule to implement novel events in the future.
