Hackaholics 4.0, a Girls’ Only Hackathon organized by IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of UCSC will be held for the fourth consecutive time this year. The purpose of the event is to create a better future for female undergraduates island-wide. It will be held online on the 2nd of May 2021. It is expected to have 15 teams with 3 members each. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. Hackaholics 4.0 will be open for all the female undergraduates from universities across the country, to build up cooperation, collaboration, and coordination among participants while trying to find solutions for issues prevailing in the society. Objectives Encourage and motivate the women in technology. Inspire the participants to take a risk. Enhance the participants to understand their potential. Provide an opportunity for students to improve and demonstrate their development skills. Event Profile Organized by IEEE WIE Affinity Group of UCSC Date 2nd of May 2021 Duration 8.30 a.m to 5.00 p.m Venue Online Participants 15 teams, 3 per each Benefits Increase the creativity and innovativeness of female undergraduates in UCSC. Time limitations force the participants to come up with creative yet actionable solutions. It helps the participants to build a bridge to the developer community. It assists the participants to understand their skills and capabilities and widen the perspective. Finding and solving problems in the real world through computing.
