Perpetual 2.0 was organized by the WIE Affinity Group of the IEEE student branch of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) which was conducted with the aim of celebrating Women’s Day in a more memorable way comprising of motivation as well as fun. The event was conducted in a virtual platform due to the current covid pandemic situation. The event was held successfully on 6th March 2021 at 6.00 p.m. onwards as an online webinar. The main objective of Perpetual 2.0 is to express love and gratitude towards women’s contribution to our lives. And also, to make them understand how strong and adjustable they are at any situation. In addition to that following are some other objectives, To inspire female undergraduates in academia And to conduct an inspirational session on “Discover yourself” The event was happened successfully Perpetual was announced as a motivational session on behalf of Women’s Day on 5th of March 2021. The official Facebook page also updated regarding the event. The event was open to all the students at SLIIT. At the beginning of the session, Rashmi Kankanamge vice secretary of WIE Affinity group conducted the welcome speech and hand over the moderator, Ruchini to continue the webinar. The beginning of the session was an inspirational session conducted by Dr. Windhya Rankothge, Assistant Professor, Program coordinator. The session was based on Women in Acedemia. At the end of the speech, Dr. Windhya was awarded by a token of Appreciation. The next session was conducted by Ms. Bernadine Jayasinghe who is TV presenter at MTV and Managing Director at Sirius academy. The session was based on the title “Discover Yourself”. At the end of the session Ms.Bernadine was awarded by the token of appreciation. The event was successfully conducted and more participants were joined and interact more with the speakers and gained a valuable knowledge form the webinar. The event was successfully concluded by the Rizma Nalmi , secretary of WIE Affinity Group, by presenting the vote of thanks.
