Annual General Meeting 2021 of IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter of University of Moratuwa

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021 of the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter at University of Moratuwa was held online for the second time via zoom platform due to the pandemic situation in the world. Dr. Anjula De Silva, Chairman of IEEE EMBS Sri Lanka Section, Dr. Chamira Edusooriya, Committee member of IEEE Sri Lanka Section, Dr. Nuwan Dayananda, former Head of the Department, Department of Electronic & TElecommunication Engineering, Dr. Pujitha Siva, Senior Lecturer attended as the guests of honor. The gathering formally initiated the chapter’s activities for the years 2021/2022. All the chapter members including immediate graduates and the freshers participated in the event. Academic advisers of the chapter also took part in the event. The Chair for the term 2020/2021 Mr. Gevindu Wickramarachchi presented the gathering a brief summary of the goals of the club and how it managed to achieve them successfully in the past year. Minutes of the previous AGM was presented by the Secretary of the Student Branch Chapter. The annual financial report was presented by the treasurer and it was suggested and approved to be true by the audience. Election of the new Executive Committee was conducted by the Chairman of the student branch and the other officers were appointed in the meeting. Newly elected and appointed Chairman of the IEEE EMBS Student Branch Chapter, University of Moratuwa delivered his speech, and the meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by the newly appointed Secretary of the student branch chapter.
