Conducted by the IEEE Student Branch of Informatics Institute of Technology 2020/2021, IX 2021 is a virtual inter-university designathon held for the second consecutive year, encompassed with a workshop and competitions that put to test the skills of aspiring UI/UX Designers.
Agenda
Registrations Registration will be open on the 24th of May 2021 and will be closed by the 15th of June 2021. Process Open registrations for the competition. Host a workshop on the Basics of UI/UX Design (Webinar hosted via Zoom by an industry professional) Conduct the initial round (design-oriented) Filter and pick 10 teams for the final round Conduct a Social Media Contest to select the most popular project Conduct the final round (solution-oriented) Select the top 3 teams Teams A team can comprise a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3. All team members must be from the same university. Winners The winner, first runners up, and second runners up of the designathon will be awarded cash prizes along with certificates. Social media contest Designs qualified for the final round will be posted on the IEEE Facebook page. The team with the highest number of likes will be awarded a cash prize along with certificates. Cash prizes First Place - LKR 25 000 Second Place - LKR 15 000 Third Place - LKR 10 000 Social media contest winner - LKR 5000 Proposed Timeline Registrations open - 24th May 2021 Workshop - 5th June 2021 Registrations close - 7th June 2021 Initial round - 12th June 2021 Final round - 19th June 2021
