The IEEE Student Branch of SLTC in collaboration with SEDS SLTC hosted the project AeroTech, an introductory webinar series to enhance the knowledge on RC model aeroplanes and drones for all the age groups including university students and school students as well. Some of key objectives of this project were: To provide in-depth knowledge on drones and planes for the students who are interested in this scope and who do not have knowledge about this concept To provide innovative ideas to construct drones and planes in a unique distinct level. To improve the ingenuity and creativity among the students. To furnish students with the latest drone technology. June 30th marked the initiation of the project with the starting off of the registrations by publishing the Google forms. The webinar series was open for all age groups who are interested in this scope. A total of 1215 students registered for this workshop series. Since a limited number of participants could participate for the Zoom meeting it was decided to give the session live via Facebook and YouTube as well. The webinar series officially commenced on the 5th of June, and Mr. Sameera Chathuranga Wickramarachchie, was the one and only expert skilled personnel who dispensed the sea of knowledge on RC model aeroplanes and drones and helped all the participants to get knowledge on this scope. This was the first ever collaborative webinar series with the SEDS SLTC and The IEEE Student Branch of SLTC held in our university so far based on RC model aeroplanes and drones with a total of 1115 maximum student participation in Zoom, Facebook live and YouTube live platforms. AeroTech have cherished students from all around the country with an abundance of knowledge of RC model aeroplanes and drones, which is a very inquisitive thematic field as well as a substantive scope among all the age groups where nobody teaches free of charge. The Organizing Committee of AeroTech 2021 plans to launch their sequel to the project in the year 2022 as a physical practical oriented workshop targeting all university students and school students all around the country
