Description

IEEE අඬහැරය of SLTC which is a collaboration event with the IEEE Sri Lanka Section was held successfully on 7th of August 2021 together with all the other 20 IEEE Student Branches of Sri Lanka at 6.00 p.m along with the theme Sarupathi Wannama that represents Lord SHIVA. The aim of this event was to provide an awareness about IEEE for the SLTC community along with the experiences of IEEE volunteers. The Secretary of IEEE Region 10 Student Activities Committee, Chamika Sudasinghe and the Founder Chairman of IEEE Student Branch of SLTC, Dasun Pathirage were the guest speakers of this event. They shared their experiences at IEEE Sri Lanka section as well as the Student Branch respectively with the benefits they gained through them. After the valuable and interesting sessions of the Guest Speakers, Hasira Koswatta, Achini Shashikala, Thameera Dhananjaya, Neranjana Rashmi and Sewwandi Gunasinghe delivered presentations representing the IEEE Student Branch of SLTC, the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of SLTC, the IEEE Computer Society of SLTC, the IEEE Industry Application Society of SLTC and IEEE Industrial Electronics Society of SLTC respectively. They shared their experiences and some important information about SLTC IEEE stating the projects they engaged in along with the benefits they gained by participating in those projects and events. The event had a participant count of 130+ and overall, this event was a success with the hard work of all the organizing committee members which awarded all the new SLTC community members about IEEE and stimulated the IEEE members for their further activities
