As the third project of the Month of CodeGeniX2021, IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Sri Lanka Technological Campus had organized a Workshop on Machine learning as “AdaGrad- Introduction to machine learning” collaborating with edXcope. Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. It is a branch of artificial intelligence based on the idea that systems can learn from data, identify patterns and make decisions with minimal human intervention. The name “AdaGrad” is also a terminology in Machine Learning and it stands for Adaptive Gradient Algorithm which is an algorithm using in Deep Learning for gradient-based optimization. Machine learning can be the key to unlocking the value of corporate and customer data and enacting decisions that keep a company ahead of the competition. This webinar was a milestone for undergraduates who are interested in Data Science and those who want to gain some knowledge about Machine Learning. This generation turns into a golden era of information technology. So, this workshop has greatly supported the participants who try to be big data analysts by mastering Machine Learning skills. The most important thing about the workshop was the Quiz and the Valuable Certificate. At the end of the session, we have given the participants a valuable opportunity to understand what they gain from the workshop. We were able to join hands with edXcope as our knowledge partner.
