Sinhalen DOCS’ is a Continuous Mega-project that had been run from 2020 October to 2021 March which was organized by the IEEE Student Branch of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and LEO Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus, which was expect to give solutions to the notable and substantial issues in the country by using the potential reach of the two voluntarily involved organization. The motive of this wide scope endeavor is to empower the Sri Lankan nation, especially the young generation by directing their attention towards the emerging and most useful technological and economic trends in today’s world. The brand name of ‘Sinhalen DOCS’ consists of the 3 main initiatives. Watch & Learn – YouTube Video series on Microsoft Office Suite Move & Xplore – Webinar sessions which focuses on a plethora of topics Track & Reboot – Nationwide survey on technology The ‘Sinhalen Docs’ project was officially initiated with the proceedings of its opening ceremony of the workshop series “Move and Xplore”. Before organizing a webinar, we have done a successful induction ceremony “Move & Xplore” as a main foundation to start this webinar series. As a result of it, our first workshop on You Tube content creations has been done very successfully. Move & Xplore' is a series of webinars which gives immense knowledge about opportunities around the globe. The YouTube Content Creation Workshop is the first workshop of the series held on 28th of November via zoom online platform. You Tube is one of the most popular platforms to dealing with videos. There are many advantages of being a YouTube content creator with the continued rise of the video blogging culture. During the current pandemic situation, YouTube has become a major source of information for consumers and having a YouTube channel is become a very relevant dream among the young crowd. This workshop is more advantageous to young generation to implicit their hidden entrepreneurship opportunities. Therefore, we strive to narrow down what induces certain needs and to rebound with the right awareness and enhanced individualities to the general public. Therefore, this project was beneficial for all the IEEE and LEO community around the country and for each and every individual who has the dream of starting own YouTube channel from scratch and growing it into a higher standard. Motives and goals behind the workshop were Introducing hidden entrepreneurship opportunities for enthusiastic youth Providing necessary guidance to the freelancers to improve their quality of You Tube Content Promoting the technology-based methods inside the business domain of Sri Lanka Promoting the organizational names of IEEE and LEO within the Sri Lankan community The session consisted of two parts; Youtube Content Content Creation Main Webinar which was hosted by the Journalist, Presenter and Content Creator, Shenal Gunasekara, the fellow chat, which started after the workshop. IT Plan With the prior preparations, we have done an excellent workshop on zoom platform. It broadcasted live on the Facebook pages of the Official Facebook page of IEEE Student Branch of SLTC Official Facebook page of SLTC Leos official Facebook page of Ministry of Arts Official Facebook page of Culture & Mass Media Sri Lanka Youth Parliament official Facebook page of The Day News official Facebook page of Studio Infinity Production official Facebook page of White Walkers. The webinar was open to all around the country and was able to reach a participant count of around 500 participants. All the participants are invited to the workshop through the registration of a google form. The attendees are received the link for the zoom online platform through a mail that is sent by secretary team of the project. Around 700 participants had registered through the google form. In that case, we were able to come up with some popular personalities related to the YouTube to introduce the basic idea of creating contents on YouTube. Contacting resource person for the workshop was one of the main tasks had to be done. For conducting the workshop, we really wanted to have a personality with a lot of experiences in the field that can influence the youth on this YouTube content creation concept. Therefore, we contacted, Mr. Shenal Gunasekara, who is a famous journalist, presenter and a YouTube personality for conducting the main session. Dedunu Akarshanie, Kanchuka Samarakoon and Shashika Milantha, representing MEANWhile in SL team, Hasaja Samaranayaka and Shashika Samarasinghe (Samare & Samare) Lasith Dassanayaka were invited for the Fellow Chat to share their experiences on YouTube content creation. Invitation emails were sent to all the speakers and they were added to a WhatsApp group created by the Research team to communicate with them. The speaker of main webinar, Mr. Shenal Gunasekara explained the responsibilities of a You Tuber to the gathering. In that case he told the gathering to be themselves when dealing with YouTube. Also, he described the journey of being a YouTuber and what circumstances that made him to be a YouTuber. Q & A session was effectively held, the questions that were sent to the session moderator, Manodya Nabadawewa by the participants were directed to the speakers and the questions were answered by the speakers. As the first workshop of the Move & Xplore has been successfully completed, the next project is to conduct the second webinar of the series on Fiverr online marketplace
