‘Sinhalen DOCS’ is a Continuous Mega-project that had been run from 2020 October to 2021 March which was organized by the IEEE Student Branch of Sri Lanka Technological Campus and LEO Club of Sri Lanka Technological Campus, which was expect to give solutions to the notable and substantial issues in the country by using the potential reach of the two voluntarily involved organization. The motive of this wide scope endeavor is to empower the Sri Lankan nation, especially the young generation by directing their attention towards the emerging and most useful technological and economic trends in today’s world. The brand name of ‘Sinhalen DOCS’ consists of the 3 main initiatives. Watch & Learn – YouTube Video series on Microsoft Office Suite Move & Xplore – Webinar sessions which focuses on a plethora of topics Track & Reboot – Nationwide survey on technology The ‘Sinhalen Docs’ project was officially initiated with the proceedings of its opening ceremony of the workshop series “Move and Xplore”. The second workshop of the series “Sinhalen DOCS Move & Xplore- Tips & Tricks on Fiverr” was held on 19 th of December 2020 via zoom online platform from 6 PM onwards in the aim of promoting the Fiverr concept among young crowd, improving their basic knowledge and providing necessary guidance on Fiverr. With the prevailing situation of the country, there is a huge probability of learning and seeking things using online platform. Many individuals do not have sufficient knowledge of freelance activities Not only that but also earning has become the digitalized. In that case our main aim was to make an advantageous platform for all the individuals who seek for the knowledge and proper guidance on Fiverr. This workshop was more profitable to young generation to implicit their hidden entrepreneurship opportunities. Therefore, we strive to narrow down what induces certain needs and to rebound with the right awareness and enhanced individualities to the general public. Motives and goals behind our workshop were, Introducing hidden entrepreneurship opportunities for enthusiastic youth Providing necessary guidance to the freelancers to improve their quality of their Fiverr service Promoting the organizational names of IEEE and LEO within the Sri Lankan community. Promoting the technology-based methods inside the business domain of Sri Lanka. Boosting the community to increase income within their families instead of being contingent on foreign sources of income. Increasing foreign earned income for Sri Lanka. Contacting resource person for the workshop was one of the main tasks had to be done. For conducting the workshop, we really wanted to have a personality with a lot of experiences in freelancing that can influence the youth on Fiverr freelancing. Therefore, we contacted, Mr. Sameera Perera, who is a well-experienced freelancer, assistant producer of Sirasa TV, a film and television graduate of the University of Kelaniya for conducting the webinar. Around 280 participants had registered through the google form. From registrations, around 150 joined through Zoom platform and others joined through Facebook live broadcast. The procedure of the workshop started with several introductory videos of projects done and being done by IEEE, WIE, IES and Leo club of SLTC. Mr. Sameera Perera, explained the content of the webinar which will be discussed as How to make money through Fiverr?, What are Fiverr tips and tricks? and How to update levels?. He mentioned that good responses regarding the previous YouTube content creation webinar had been received. In Sameera Perera's speech, he pointed out that beginners focus on drop shipping, which is commercially successful but better than selling their skills. Further, He said that working in Fiverr today has become a way to earn a good income as much as possible in Sri Lanka. His advice for the participants was to have a good understanding of how to create a Fiverr account attractively before creating a Fiverr profile. He explained few tips and tricks to be followed through the path to success in freelancing in Fiverr. Q & A session was effectively held, the questions that were sent to the session moderator, by the participants were directed to the mentors and the questions were answered by them. IT Plan The main part of the IT plan of this event was to stream the Tips & Tricks on Fiverr webinar live on Facebook. We used zoom online platform and Facebook social media platform as our main resources in succession of this webinar.
