TechZen, organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of UCSC was conducted for the second-year undergraduates as guidance for their first software project. The major goal of the session series was to familiarize participants with backend web application development. It consisted of four sessions: PHP fundamentals, CRUD with PHP, MVC architecture, Ajax, and JQuery. For more descriptive learning, there was a Q&A session, as well as demonstrated coding for simple learning.
