“Hackfest” is a technological innovation-based inter-university hackathon organized by the IEEE Student Branch and IEEE WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University themed by ‘Anywhere Operation’ and aiming to determine knowledge on software development at the national level. This was an ideal platform to promote the application of skills honed from ICT related modules taught in universities with undergraduate studies towards problem-solving skills and related areas. Hackfest was organized to enrich and enhance students’ knowledge of ICT while leveraging the power of IT. Also, Hackfest empowered the competitors’ presentation skills to bring about their innovative idea or product to the market.
