Every year for the celebration of IEEE day, organized a cake-cutting event but due to the pandemic situation of this we are unable to organize that event. Because of this we decided to organize a tree-planting campaign to celebrate IEEE Day 2021. “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow” , means not only about the contribution to developing good technology for a better tomorrow. This is also about develops the attitudes of the engineering and technological minds and make them think about the betterment of the world’s tomorrow. By aiming this we, The IEEE Student Branch of the Open University of Sri Lanka planned to organize this campaign with the participation of all the other 20 Student Branches in The Sri Lanka Section. Also conduct a session on "How to face and overcome pandemic challenges of an engineering student".
