Description
"Game of Codes" is the newest initiative organized by the IEEE WIE Affinity Group of the University of Kelaniya as the second event for the year 2021. The main objective of this program was to give the targeted audience an intermediate knowledge of game development and uplift courage in girls about this domain. Our primary targeted audience was girls from different universities. This event consists of two phases, and they are, Phase 1 - Workshops (basic game development concepts) and game development examples Phase 2 - The Battle of the Coders (game development competition) Therefore, the first workshop was done by Mr. Charith Madusanka, game developer at Arimac Lanka Pvt. Ltd., on basic game development concepts. The guest speaker did a very informative session regarding the topic. There were 300+ registrations and 150+ maximum participants. The event was held successfully and got valuable comments from the audience also.
