IEEE Student Branch of University of Vavuniya organized an event to experience great opportunities and get knowledge about the Cyber Laws and Cyber Crimes in Sri Lankan Context .The expert session was conducted by Dr.Aparrajitha Ariyadasa , who is a lecturer in cyber law and senior attorney law.The event was much informative for the young students to get to know about the laws,penal codes ,penalties for the cyber crimes etc.The session mainly covered about what are considered as cyber crimes,what actions to be taken if we are victimised like if impersonation happens to us ,and also the patent and intellectual property rights were discussed during the session.Over all the event was very interactive and the doubts of the students were cleared instantly throughout the session.The event had a tea break as well as a lunch break and finally Token of appreciation was provided to the guest speaker and the event ended up with the vice chair's vote of thanks.
