Description
The Annual General Meeting of the Student Branch Chapter of IEEE, Robotics and Automation Society of University of Peradeniya was held on the 21 st of February 2021, via the Zoom platform from 4.00 p.m. onwards. At this most precious moment, the former members concluded their duties and handed them over to the new office bearers marking the inauguration of the term 2021. As to initiate the event, the welcome speech was done by the former chairperson of the club, Mr. Madusha Athapattu, followed by the reading of the minutes. Then the new executive committee was appointed and seconded for the year 2021. The new executive committee for the year 2021 Chairperson - Primash Morapitiya Senior Treasurer - Dr Tharindu Weerakoon Vice-chair - Pulasthi Perera Secretary - Udula Ranasinghe Treasurer - Sachintha Jayarathne Webmaster - Kenath Perera Programming team Dilum Sampath Harindu Damsara Vidura Abeygunawardana Reporting team Kulani Jayarathne Madumini Kulathunga Uthpala Ratnayake Design team Kesara Wagachchi Adheesha Liyanage Avishka Ranasinghe Committee Members Heston Fernando Lakpriya Weeragoda Nadun Nilupul Before the conclusion of the meeting, two speeches were done by the new senior treasurer appointed and the new chairperson in order to encourage the new executive committee to uplift the club’s future. Finally, with the vote of thanks done by the secretary, the meeting was concluded with the hope of having a prosperous year with more activities to upskill the future engineers.
