The first workshop about the Packet tracer software was successfully held on 13 th of July 2021 through zoom platform with the help of more than70 participants under the topic of Workshop 01 introduction to packet tracer. The workshop was conducted by Miss. B.C.H Wickramathilaka who is an undergraduate of faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna. The basic and fundamental knowledge and the basic features of the packet tracer software, the IP address, the basic configurations of routers and switches and the Vlan and Trunks, were the main points which were discussed and practically covered in that first workshop. The second workshop of this packet tracer workshop series was held on 21 st of July 2021 with around 65 participants in the zoom platform. The topic of the session that day was workshop 02 VLAN. That workshop was conducted by Mr.T.B.T Fernando and Mr.D.G.H.Lakmith who are the undergraduates in faculty of engineering, University of Ruhuna. In the second workshop was given further knowledge about the usage of the software more deeply with covering, usages of Vlan, types of Vlan, difference between Static and dynamic Vlan,Trunking and tagging and the inter Vlan routing using practical sessions. By that workshop series the necessary introduction knowledge was successfully shared which will be a help for all participants, especially the competitors who hope to participate in the Eminence competition.
