The IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group of Informatics Insitute of Technology ( IIT ) is here with its first official event for the year 2021-22, iEmpower! The event will feature several distinguished female personalities from different STEM fields and will be held live on Instagram, with episodes taking place every Sunday. The first episode of the event was held on Sunday the 7th of November from 6 pm onwards. The guest speaker for the first episode of iEmpower was Dr. Ruwangi Fernando. She is a Ph.D. researcher at CSIRO's Data61, a speaker, and a lecturer at Victoria University. She is also the founder of STEM Sisters, an organization committed to an intersectional approach for empowering women of color in the STEM fields
