Description
The event started with the welcome speech delivered by Ms.Usha Kawmadie, the chairperson of the IEEE WiE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa. Next the session was handed over to the distinguished guest speaker of the evening, Dr. Chathurie Nupearachci who is a physics visiting lecturer, STEM activist, Researcher, educational consultant, and a writer. She conducted a very inspiring and informative session uplifting the morals and knowledge of the participants. She highlighted all the career opportunities available for physical science graduates, both in Sri Lanka and overseas. She also provided a very strong understanding about how to pursue higher studies in physical science. She motivated all the participants by sharing her life experiences in the journey of becoming a successful person in both career and personal life. The session done by Dr. Chathurie Nupearachci was followed by a Question and Answer session ,where all the enthusiastic participants got the chance to raise their questions and concerns to Dr. Chathurie Nupearachci. All the questions raised were well clarified and further insights about the area were given by Dr. Chathurie Nupearachci. After the question and Answer session a special digital token of appreciation was presented to Dr. Chathurie Nupearachci for her esteemed presence as the guest speaker of Futuro 1.0. Futuro 1.0, successfully concluded with the Thank you speech given by Ms. Abirame Ganeshamoorthy, the Vice chairperson of the IEEE WiE Student Branch Affinity Group of University of Moratuwa.
