IEEE SL SYW Congress 2021 marked the 10th Anniversary of the congress making it a remarkable milestone of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section. SL SYW Congress 2021 had a grand plan to make it one of the most extravagant events of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section calendar. Even amidst the trying times with the COVID-19 pandemic, the SL SYW Congress 2020 became a major success that brought hundreds of young technical enthusiasts together and shared knowledge, experiences, and fun. Their comments and feedback on the congress have been heartening and encouraging which inspired the SL Section to take the congress to the next level this year. With the experiences gained from the previous year under the pandemic situation, this year the Section prepared for any challenges that might come in the way. The theme of this year’s congress was, “Unite to Survive, Fight to Thrive”, which implies that this unprecedented time calls for collective action, that we cannot survive as individuals without the help of the whole community. We have to fight and thrive together for a common goal which is our own survival, thereby having the congress virtually on 7th, 8th, and 9th January.
