From 2011 to 2013, he was an assistant professor and from 2014 to 2020, an associate professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics, School of Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics, School of Engineering, Shibaura Institute of Technology. He was a visiting professor at the BioRobotics Institute, Scuola Superiore Sant Anna, Italy. His research interests are soft robotics and soft materials.
