Description
TraiNext is a two-day project presented by the IEEE student section of SLTC that includes two panel discussions on how to prepare for internships and, eventually, industry as an undergraduate. TraiNext and the SLTC Office of Liaison collaborated as well. These sessions were primarily for undergraduates about to begin their industrial training. Internships are an important part of an undergraduate's career. An internship allows students to apply what they've learned in class, improve their leadership skills, and acquire a competitive advantage in their job search. This period of an undergraduate's life will reflect back to them their knowledge and abilities. As a result, given the importance of internships, our team decided to open up the chance to all undergraduates. This information will surely assist students in selecting internships and performing well in them. It is highly important and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have a platform that supports us in anticipating the industry prior to commencing the internship. We concentrated on the fields of engineering and information technology, as well as business and management. We wanted to provide undergraduates suggestions on how to prepare for an internship as an undergraduate, discuss the divide between industry and academia, present information on how to survive in the sector, and teach them how to attend a professional body interview. The first session featured a panel of industrial specialists. We invited four highly qualified panelists in the domains of engineering and information technology, as well as three highly qualified panelists in the fields of business and management. All undergraduates were welcome to attend. The second session was a panel discussion with SLTC graduates who had prior industrial training and internship experience.
